Fear is illusory.
How can this be true, and why does fear seem so real?
Infinite, unconditional Being - the consciousness presently aware - appears as two spheres: a somewhere-sphere and a someway-sphere. Through this appearance, experience seems to arise.
The somewhere-sphere is the appearance of somewhere - indoors, outdoors, in a library, a prison cell, a world, or a universe. Wherever being seems to be, that’s the somewhere-sphere, which is Being’s own essence.
The someway-sphere acts as a lens that veils the infinite nature of Being. Through this lens, the somewhere-sphere appears finite, creating the illusion of separation. But in truth, no separation exists.
Why does Being appear as the someway-sphere?
Because Being is self-aware. As Being manifests as the somewhere-sphere, it remains aware that no true separation occurs. Without the someway-sphere's lensing, there wouldn’t seem to be any experience at all - Being would simply be aware that the somewhere-sphere is itself.
So why does fear feel so real?
Feeling is real because it is an expression of Being. Separation, however, is not real - it’s an illusion.
The someway-sphere, like a lens, makes infinite Being seem finite, much like a magnifying glass makes something appear larger without changing its true nature. Through this lens, separation only seems to exist, and with it, the illusion of fear.
Fear arises when it seems like there is something separate to protect or lose. But this division - the believed split between what is and what is imagined - is illusory.
It’s like fearing a monster in the closet. The fear feels real because consciousness is real. The thoughts feel “off” because, in reality, there is no monster.
Infinite, unconditional Being is the reality beneath, as in appearing as, movement - whether standing, sitting, or walking. Hence, Being is ‘under’, standing. This movement, this energy which is Being, in motion, is emotion. Being is ‘under’ - appearing as the ‘standing’; this present motion or movement - life.
Fear is simply emotion - felt because Being is real. However, when the illusion of separation is believed - just as a magnified image is mistaken for reality - fear, though felt, remains an illusion.
Emotion, including fear, serves as guidance, naturally aligning thoughts with the true nature of Being. When separation is seen through, as Being ‘looks in the closet,’ fear dissolves.
What remains is the recognition of the infinite and unconditional essence that was never truly veiled.
Oh, now, we took it back too far,
only love can save us now.
All these riddles that you burn
all come runnin' back to you.
All these rhythms that you hide;
only love can save us now.
I alone love you.
I alone tempt you.
Fear is not the end of This.
